But maybe you’ve never really thought about how just the simple act of drinking more water can impact on so many areas of your life.
The advice on what is the right amount of water to be drinking varies. Some say around 8 glasses (8oz), other recommend you take your bodyweight in pounds, divide in half and drink that much in ounces over the course of a day

1. Increase your energy and reduce fatigue
The brain needs water to function properly. Staying hydrated is going to have an amazing impact on your focus, alertness and concentration – all of which are the absolute building blocks of being motivated to eat and exercise well, consistently.
2. Improve your digestion
Drinking plenty of water helps keep your gut working efficiently, so your body is able to effectively break down and absorb the nutrients from the food you’re eating.

If your skin is feeling dull, or your complexion needs a little help, try upping your water intake. Staying properly hydrated can help skin appear plumper, which in turn is going to give you a healthy looking glow.
7. Reduce the risk of injury
Finally, staying hydrated has been shown to reduce the risk of injuring joints and tendons during exercise. By drinking plenty of water, your joints are going to stay well lubricated, and studies have shown that water may even reduce inflammation and promote good cartilage health.
