Italian actress Tatiana Ibba felt lost in her life, feeling directionless, until she discovered her true passion – to enter the world of acting and writing for TV.
We caught up with her to find out how she overcame the doubts and difficult times.
Name: Tatiana Ibba
Location: London, via Italy and Germany
What’s your story?
Lets start with the beginning… I’m Italian, born in Sardinia (Italy), an Island in the middle of the Mediterranean ocean, in a town of only 3,500 people.
I moved with my parents to Germany when I was seven year old, where my life changed completely; new town, new language, new friends. I never really felt like I fitted in and being a shy kid surely didn’t help. I used to spend most of my time reading and watching TV series; this is when my passions started to develop. Reading became writing and watching TV series became the dream of becoming an actress and be able to play the confident heroin that saves the world.
My parents didn’t had the chance to send me to acting school so I focused my energy on writing and put the dream in the drawer.
When I was fourteen I moved back to Sardinia where I met my now ex husband and we had a baby. We then decided to move to England to find a better life for us and our child. I started attending acting classes as soon as I could speak the language and from there I worked my way up to where I am now.

What is the toughest adversity you’ve faced on your journey to living your best life, and how did you overcome this?
I think that one of the toughest things in my life has been my divorce.
I got married when I was twenty years old to my first love. When you get married you think you will spend the rest of your life with that person and when for a reason or another it doesn’t work out it leaves you broken and lost.
I had to recover mentally and rediscover who I really was by myself. Acting and writing have been my therapy. I also discovered that I could feel more like myself on stage then anywhere else and I am addicted to the feeling it gives me. This feeling helped me recover and in many ways acting saved me.
What’s your goal for the next chapter?
I would like to inspire people that have been through a though time and show them that you can make your dreams come true if you work for it.
