What’s up everyone, it’s Wes here, hope we’re all doing good today?
Thanks for all the questions and comments you’re sending in, it’s so good to hear from people who are determined to make a change for the better, and I’m excited to get to help you guys.
Today’s blog is going to be about how important it is to listen to your body. Our clients come to Wes Myron Fitness with a whole load of different reasons for wanting to get a healthier lifestyle. For some of them, they’ve been out of shape for years, and know that they need to make big changes to look the way they want to. For others, they’ve always been perfectly happy with how they look, and the goals for them is more about switching up how they feel.
Whatever your own personal reason for getting healthier, I always say the same thing – you HAVE to be aware of what’s going on with your own body. I’ve had clients who have tried pretty much every fad going in order to get in shape, and I’m not going to lie – some of those crazes work. But only for a short time. If the changes you’re making are not sustainable, or realistic for who you are, you’re never going to manage to stick with it, and often will end up putting on more pounds than you ever lost once your regular routine kicks back in.
I really want to help people get away from the cycle of constant dieting, or overdoing their training. For one, it’s such a negative way of experiencing life! Imagine, you get so fixated on having perfect abs that you make yourself miserable in the process – that’s no way to live!
It’s easy to look at other people, and convince yourself that you’d only be happy if you looked just like that too. But this is crazy! Looking a certain way means absolutely nothing if you’re not also feeling great on the inside too. After all, there are lots of shortcuts to dropping a dress size, but not all of those are going to leave you feeling good about yourself are they? Who wants to be skinny but hungry all the time?! Or super ripped, but full of weird chemicals which make you feel crazy?! Not me, that’s for sure.
The clients that we’re working with at Wes Myron Fitness are all learning about how to listen to what’s going on on the inside. With our personalized nutrition plans, they are learning that with the right balance of great nutrition, exercise, mindset and rest, there’s no reason why you can’t both look AND feel great.
It’s so important to approach any lifestyle change from a whole person point of view. If you only change your diet, but don’t exercise well, you’re only going to see partial results. Same goes if you train like crazy but carry on eating junk – you’re going to end up burning out when you don’t see the results you want.
Our clients find that the long term results they want start from within. If you get your internal motivation right, and keep your focus on all aspects of your lifestyle you’re going to see the absolute best results possible – and that’s what Wes Myron Fitness is all about!
