Learning from the very best of sports performance is at the heart of Wes Myron Fitness’s ethos, and this means an always-on approach to honing the proven techniques that deliver exceptional results for clients. This week, we caught up with the international best-selling author, speaker and consultant, Brian Cain to get his thoughts on his own Focus Five.
Brian has worked with Fortune 500 executives and organizations as well as coaches, athletes, and teams at Olympic level, and athletes in the NFL, NHL, PGA, MLB and UFC, so it was great to find out what inspires him to greatness.
WHO: in your life inspires you?
My inspiration comes from the people I serve. High performing trainers, coaches, athletes, executives and people who want to optimize their lives through mental performance mastery. Seeing their transformations and seeing them accomplish the major goals that they set for themselves inspires me to continually get better as a coach.
WHAT: does your absolute achievement look like?
My absolute achievement looks having 10,000 trainers and coaches go through my Mental Performance Mastery Course in the span of my lifetime. They each will impact over 1,000 lives through their coaching and together we are impacting over 10,000,000 lives through mental performance. That is what I want on my gravestone, “Cain energized, empowered, educated touched over 10,000,000 lives with this 10 pillars of mental performance mastery coaching certification.”
WHEN: is the next opportunity to take another step in the right direction towards your success?
The next opportunity is always NOW. It’s your decisions that determines your destiny and your focus that determines your future.
WHERE: you’ve visited that drives you to achieve your end goal?
High schools, colleges, corporations and the homes of top achievers all over the world. Stepping into the world of those who I want to serve better ables me to custom create their personal development plans. Cal State Fullerton’s campus and the KNES building where my mentor, the late Ken Ravizza, Ph.D. has his office always inspires me to learn and teach at an elite level like he did.
WHY: a memory of something you’ve done and WHY it pushes you to keep chasing after your dream?
Working with Georges St-Pierre the UFC Fighter as his mental performance coach was amazing. He is arguably the best athlete and MMA fighter of all time and to be on his coaching team was something that pushes me to get better at educating coaches because without mental performance coaching your clients and athletes will fall short of their potential and not achieve their goals, and THAT SUCKS!
